Since the operation began on February 5, some 8,179 suspects have been arrested and 6,387 firearms, 1,111,711 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 29,670 magazines, 104,421.7 kg of drugs, including 483.32 kg of fentanyl, 5,231 vehicles, and 992 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Mexicali, three suspects were arrested and two rifles, four magazines, 115 rounds of ammunition, and two semi-trucks with dry vans were seized.
In Mexicali and Tijuana, three suspects were arrested, and 82 doses of methamphetamine, 18 doses of marijuana, and four doses of cocaine were seized.
– Chihuahua
In Ciudad Juárez, three handguns, three magazines, 34 rounds of ammunition, 107 doses of methamphetamine, a vehicle, and five properties were seized.
In Nuevo Casas Grandes, six suspects were arrested, four of them minors, and a machine gun, six rifles, 13 magazines, 2,294 rounds of ammunition, five Kevlar helmets, a tactical vest, two webbing sets, 2,014 metal belt links, and a vehicle were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Cosalá, a storage facility containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs was located and dismantled. During the operation, 1,000 liters of substances used in the production of methamphetamine were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 20 million pesos (US$1.09 million).
In Culiacán, 211 kilos of methamphetamine, 112 liters of an amber liquid, 425 liters of sodium cyanide, a vehicle, and two properties were seized.
– Sonora
In Navojoa, two firearms, 23 magazines, 1,002 rounds of ammunition, 1,559 doses of methamphetamine, three tactical vests, three ballistic plates, a tactical uniform, and a vehicle were seized.
In San Luis Río Colorado, two rifles, 11 magazines, 330 rounds of ammunition, a tactical vest, two ballistic plates, and a vehicle reported stolen were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Reynosa, a suspect was arrested, and two firearms, 26 magazines, 44 rounds of ammunition, 151 explosive devices, 18 drones, a drone detector, three anti-drone devices, two improvised explosive devices, and a vehicle reported stolen were seized.
