Since the operation began on February 5, some 8,326 suspects have been arrested and 6,460 firearms, 1,121,094 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 29,919 magazines, 105,136.2 kg of drugs, including 483.32 kg of fentanyl, 5,280 vehicles, and 1,010 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Chihuahua
In Chihuahua and Ciudad Juárez, a suspect was arrested and two handguns, six magazines, 414 rounds of ammunition, four properties, and three vehicles were seized.
– Nuevo León
In Monterrey, two suspects were arrested, and two rifles, five magazines, 22 rounds of ammunition, 45 doses of marijuana, 55 doses of methamphetamine, two ballistic vests, cash, two gram scales, and two vehicles were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, a storage facility containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs was located and dismantled. During the operation, 13,850 liters of chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 281 million pesos (US$15.28 million).
In Navolato, 11 suspects were arrested, and two machine guns, 10 firearms, 21 magazines, 868 rounds of ammunition, tactical gear, and two vehicles, one of them with homemade armor, were seized.
– Sonora
In Sahuaripa, two vehicles containing 62 rounds of ammunition were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Reynosa, two suspects were arrested, and three firearms, six magazines, 512 rounds of ammunition, 1,000 fentanyl pills, 1.3 kilograms of methamphetamine, doses of cocaine and marijuana, a gram scale, 14 cell phones, cash, and two properties were seized.
