Since the operation began on February 5, some 8,417 suspects have been arrested and 6,507 firearms, 1,125,690 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 30,055 magazines, 106,338.8 kg of drugs, including 493.92 kg of fentanyl, 5,321 vehicles, and 1,022 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tecate, two clandestine laboratories used to produce synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 3,100 liters and 160 kilograms of substances for the production of methamphetamine, two organic synthesis reactors, and five distillers were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 834 million pesos (US$45.35 million).
– Chihuahua
In Ciudad Juárez, a suspect was arrested, and 6.6 kilograms of fentanyl and 5.2 kilograms of methamphetamine were seized.
– Nuevo León
In García, two suspects were arrested, one of them a minor, and two rifles, eight magazines, 212 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle were seized.
In Juárez, four individuals were arrested, and two firearms, 13 rounds of ammunition, 150 doses of marijuana, 114 doses of methamphetamine, cash, seven cell phones, three gram scales, and a vehicle were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Badiraguato and Culiacán, a clandestine laboratory and storage facility containing various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 36,650 liters and 5,700 kilograms of substances used in production of methamphetamine, 28 organic synthesis reactors, 28 distillers, six centrifuges, 42 burners, and 90 LP gas tanks were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is more than 11.62 billion pesos (US$632 million).
In Mazatlán, 200 doses of crystal meth, 63 small bags and 20 marijuana cigarettes were seized.
– Sonora
In Caborca and San Luis Río Colorado, two suspects were arrested, and three firearms, five magazines, 123 rounds of ammunition, 15 doses of methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana, a tactical vest, two ballistic plates, a motorcycle, and a vehicle reported stolen were seized.
In San Luis Río Colorado, a suspect was arrested, and 1,154 kilograms of methamphetamine, 3.9 kilograms of fentanyl, five kilograms of heroin, and a semi-truck with dry van were seized.
