Since the operation began on February 5, some 8,665 suspects have been arrested and 6,660 firearms, 1,157,590 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 30,808 magazines, 107,096.1 kg of drugs, including 493.92 kg of fentanyl, 5,423 vehicles, and 1,039 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Tijuana, two suspects were arrested, and a handgun, a magazine, eight rounds of ammunition, doses of methamphetamine, four cell phones, and a property were seized.
– Chihuahua
In Guachochi, two rifles, 28 magazines, 873 rounds of ammunition, three tactical vests, six ballistic plates, two webbing sets, a vehicle reported stolen, and a property were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, a clandestine laboratory and three storage facilities where various materials used in the production of synthetic drugs were stored were located and dismantled. During the operations, 4,920 liters and 4,620 kilos of substances used in the production of methamphetamine, six organic synthesis reactors, five condensers, two centrifuges, and 10 LP gas tanks were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is almost 2.14 billion pesos (US$115).
In another operation in the same municipality, two suspects were arrested, one of them a minor, and two rifles, two magazines, 35 rounds of ammunition, and 10,321 fentanyl pills were seized.
– Sonora
In Agua Prieta, three suspects were arrested, and 1,070 doses of cocaine, 520 doses of methamphetamine, 295 marijuana cigarettes, two bags of marijuana, and a vehicle were seized.
– Tamaulipas
In Camargo, a rifle, 20 magazines, 459 rounds of ammunition, 24 improvised explosive devices, and two vehicles were seized.
In Ciudad Mier, three rifles, one of which was a Barrett rifle, 39 magazines, 915 rounds of ammunition, three tactical vests, two ballistic plates, and a vehicle reported stolen were seized.
