Since the operation began on February 5, some 6,832 suspects have been arrested and 5,325 firearms, 930,417 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 25,316 magazines, 67,282.6 kg of drugs, including 386.90 kg of fentanyl, 4,632 vehicles, and 832 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Nuevo León
In Apodaca, three suspects were arrested and a handgun, a magazine, eight rounds of ammunition, 75 doses of methamphetamine, 80 doses of marijuana, cash, three cell phones, and two gram scales were seized.
In another operation in Apodaca, five suspects were arrested, and a handgun, two magazines, 21 rounds of ammunition, 125 doses of methamphetamine, 84 doses of cocaine, 43 doses of marijuana, 14,000 pesos, and three gram scales were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, three storage facilities containing various materials for the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations 700 liters and 1,000 kilos of substances for the production of methamphetamine were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 35 million pesos (US$1.87 million).
In Culiacán, two suspects were arrested, and three rifles, 27 magazines, 1,600 rounds of ammunition, a vehicle, a motorcycle, handmade tire spikes, and various tactical gear were seized.
– Sonora
In Guaymas, four suspects were arrested and 200 packages of crystal meth and a vehicle were seized.
In Hermosillo, two suspects were arrested and 175 packages of marijuana, 107 doses of methamphetamine, 36 doses of heroin, a magazine, 14 rounds of ammunition, two vehicles, and six closed-circuit cameras were seized.
