The Mexican Government's Security Cabinet reports on the results of 'Operation Northern Border' carried out on September 12, 13, and 14, 2025.

Since the operation began on February 5, some 7,286 suspects have been arrested and 5,637 firearms, 989,356 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 26,897 magazines, 95,129.7 kg of drugs, including 405.6 kg of fentanyl, 4,835 vehicles, and 887 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.

These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:

– Baja California

In Tecate, four firearms, 12 magazines, 1,000 rounds of ammunition, four vehicles reported stolen, and a property were seized.

In Tijuana, Ensenada, and San Felipe, four suspects were arrested, and three handguns, four magazines, 31 rounds of ammunition, and three vehicles, one of which had been reported stolen, were seized.

– Nuevo León

In Monterrey, a suspect was arrested, and two handguns, two magazines, 62 rounds of ammunition, a kilo of marijuana, doses of cocaine, a gram scale, and a property were seized.

– Sinaloa

In Culiacán and Cosalá, four storage facilities containing various materials for the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 2,330 liters of chemicals for the production of methamphetamine were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 47 million pesos (US$2.56 million).

In San Ignacio, an encampment used by members of organized crime was located and dismantled.

– Sonora

In Caborca, two rifles, two magazines, 57 rounds of ammunition, a Kevlar helmet, a tactical vest, a ballistic plate, and a vehicle were seized.

In Huatabampo, a suspect was arrested, and 100 doses of marijuana, 64 packages of crystal meth, 17 crystal meth pipes, and cash were seized.
