The Mexican Government's Security Cabinet reports on the results obtained from 'Operation Northern Border' on September 19, 20, and 21, 2025.

Since the operation began on February 5, some 7,461 suspects have been arrested and 5,770 firearms, 1,017,605 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 27,482 magazines, 98,345.1 kg of drugs, including 452.3 kg of fentanyl, 4,961 vehicles, and 916 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.

These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:

– Baja California

In Mexicali, five firearms, three magazines, 66 rounds of ammunition, two tactical vests, two ballistic plates, a Kevlar helmet, a vehicle, and a property were seized.

– Chihuahua

In Ciudad Juárez, five firearms, 22 magazines, 141 rounds of ammunition, two tactical vests, three portable radios, and a vehicle were seized.

– Nuevo León

In Linares, four suspects were arrested, and four rifles, eight magazines, 62 rounds of ammunition, 75 doses of methamphetamine, 149 doses of marijuana, cash, three cell phones, three backpacks, and four digital scales were seized.

– Sinaloa

In Culiacán, 31 packages containing 1,218 kilos of methamphetamine and a vehicle were seized.

In Culiacán and Cosalá, 11 storage facilities containing various materials for the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 10,440 liters and 1,790 kilos of chemicals for the production of methamphetamine, an organic synthesis reactor, four condensers, a distiller, and two strainers were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 632 million pesos (US$34.34 million).

In Elota, a encampment used by organized crime was located and dismantled, and four rifles, 69 magazines, and 1,991 rounds of ammunition were seized.

– Sonora

In various municipalities, six suspects were arrested and 40 doses of methamphetamine, 69 doses of marijuana, and two vehicles were seized.

In San Luis Río Colorado, two suspects were arrested and 250 kilos of methamphetamine, five kilos of fentanyl, and a tractor-trailer coupled to a dry box were seized.
