Since the operation began on February 5, some 7,696 suspects have been arrested and 5,918 firearms, 1,035,486 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 28,086 magazines, and 100,666.9 kg of drugs, including 467. 32 kg of fentanyl, 5,048 vehicles, and 936 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
The actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Baja California
In Playas de Rosarito, a backpack containing 40 bags of methamphetamine was seized.
– Nuevo León
In Ciénega de Flores, a suspect was arrested, and a rifle, two magazines, 30 rounds of ammunition, 37 doses of methamphetamine, 3.7 kilograms of marijuana, cash, a tactical vest, and a gram scale were seized.
In Monterrey, three suspects were arrested, and three firearms, three magazines, 27 rounds of ammunition, three tactical vests, and 23 tire spikes were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán, three storage facilities containing various materials for the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations 3,650 liters and 25 kilos of substances used in the production of methamphetamine were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 74 million pesos (US$4.04 million).
In Elota, a vehicle, four rifles, a grenade, live rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 13 magazines, six tactical vests, two ballistic plates, and a chest rig with magazine pouches were seized.
– Sonora
In Cajeme, a suspect was arrested, and a rifle, two loaded magazines, 54 live rounds of ammunition, a cell phone, and a motorcycle were seized.
In Nogales, a suspect was arrested, and two firearms, a magazine, 12 rounds of ammunition, two tactical vests, a kilo of methamphetamine, a Kevlar helmet, a webbing set, a tractor-trailer, and a property were seized.
