Since the operation began on February 5, some 6,901 suspects have been arrested and 5,357 firearms, 937,381 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 25,437 magazines, 67,388.5 kg of drugs, including 386.9 kg of fentanyl, 4,657 vehicles, and 840 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Chihuahua
In Ciudad Juárez, a suspect was arrested, and eight firearms, 11 magazines, 404 rounds of ammunition, a silencer, and a vehicle were seized.
– Coahuila
In Múzquiz, five suspects were arrested, and a rifle, nearly two kilograms of methamphetamine, doses of marijuana, two gram scales, and a property were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Culiacán and Cosalá, five storage facilities containing various materials for the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 1,425 liters of substances for the production of methamphetamine, two lab condensers, and three burners were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is 29 million pesos (US$1.54 million).
In Navolato, a suspect was arrested, and 30 packages of methamphetamine, 50 packages of marijuana, and cash were seized.
– Sonora
In Agua Prieta, a suspect was arrested, and 5,000 rounds of ammunition and a vehicle were seized.
