● In coordinated actions taken by the Security Cabinet, arrests, searches, and seizures of firearms and various types of drugs were carried out in Baja California, Baja California Sur, Mexico City, Chiapas, Chihuahua, Durango, State of Mexico, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Nayarit, Nuevo León, Oaxaca, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tamaulipas, and Zacatecas.

● In Baja California, members of the National Guard and the Mexican Army, and personnel from the Federal Attorney General’s Office, the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection, and the State Police searched a property where they impounded 241 kilograms and 75 liters of methamphetamine. The cost of the seized drugs is 85.1 million pesos (US$4.55 million).

● In Mexico City, police officers and personnel from the Department of Citizen Security, Ministry of the Navy, National Guard, and the City Prosecutor’s Office raided a property where they arrested five suspects, including a minor, and seized two bags of marijuana, a bag of cocaine, a bag of crack cocaine, a handgun, and a rifle.

● In Chiapas, members of the Mexican Army and personnel from the Federal Attorney General’s Office, the State Police, the Pakal Immediate Response Force, and the Municipal Police arrested nine suspects and seized a rifle, three handguns, magazines, rounds of ammunition, a telescopic scope, and three vehicles.

● In Hidalgo, members of the National Guard and the Mexican Army and personnel from the Federal Attorney General’s Office and State Police, while conducting a search of four modules of the Social Rehabilitation Center in Hidalgo, seized various doses of drugs, 96 sharp edged weapons, 56 cell phones, 91 lighters, 11 syringes, three video game consoles, screens, an internet modem, among other items. The cost of the seized drugs is one million pesos (US$53,440).

The Security Cabinet reports on the important developments of July 7, 2025, as part of the National Security Strategy, which includes four areas of action: Addressing the causes of crime; Consolidating the National Guard; Strengthening intelligence and investigative work; and Coordinating efforts with federal government bodies.

BAJA CALIFORNIA:
-In Tijuana, members of the National Guard (GN) and the Mexican Army, and personnel from the Federal Attorney General’s Office (FGR), Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), and the State Police raided a property where they seized 241 kilos and 75 liters of methamphetamine.

The cost of the seized drugs is 85.1 million pesos (US$4.55 million).

BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR:
-In La Paz, in the Olas Altas neighborhood, personnel from Ministry of the the Navy (Semar), State Preventive Police, and State Investigative Police arrested a suspect who has two outstanding arrest warrants for the crimes of aggravated assault and violent robbery.

MEXICO CITY:
-In the Iztapalapa municipality, police officers from the Department of Citizen Security (SSC), and personnel from the Semar, GN, and the City Prosecutor’s Office (FGJ) raided a property where they arrested five suspects, including a minor, and seized two bags of marijuana, a bag of cocaine, a bag of crack cocaine, a handgun, and a rifle.

CHIAPAS:
-In San Cristóbal de las Casas, members of the Mexican Army and personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office, the State Police, the Pakal Immediate Response Force, and the Municipal Police arrested nine suspects and seized a rifle, three handguns, magazines, rounds of ammunition, a telescopic scope, and three vehicles.

CHIHUAHUA:
-In Allende, members of the Mexican Army and the State Attorney General’s Office seized 10 kilos of marijuana.

STATE OF MEXICO:
-In San Martín de las Pirámides, members of the National Guard and the Mexican Army arrested two individuals in a vehicle, seizing a rifle, a handgun, magazines, and ammunition.

HIDALGO:
-In Pachuca, members of the National Guard and the Mexican Army and personnel from the Federal Attorney General’s Office and State Police conducted a search of four modules of the Social Rehabilitation Center prison and seized various doses of drugs, seven gram scales, 96 sharp-edged weapons, three pliers, 56 cell phones, 11 packs of cigarettes, 91 lighters, 11 syringes, 38 mobile phone chips, 38 USB sticks, 37 speakers, three video game consoles, two DVD players, two screens, a stereo, a projector, an internet modem, three hammers, and four boards.

The cost of the seized drugs is one million pesos (US$53,440).

JALISCO:
-In Tlaquepaque, personnel from the Semar and SSPC arrested a suspect and seized a rifle, four handguns, live ammunition, seven magazines, and four vehicles.

NAYARIT:
-In Huajicori, members of the Mexican Army and State Police seized a Barrett rifle, magazines, and ammunition.

NUEVO LEÓN:
-In General Escobedo, members of the National Guard, the Mexican Army, and Municipal Police arrested four suspects in a vehicle, including a minor, and seized three rifles, two handguns, and six improvised explosive devices.

-Also in General Escobedo, members of the National Guard and personnel from the Mexican Army, and the Federal Attorney General’s Office and State Police raised a property in which they impounded 159 kilos of methamphetamines. The cost of the seized drugs is 43 million pesos (US$43 million).

OAXACA:
-In Juchitán, members of the Mexican Army, National Guard, Navy and personnel from the Federal Attorney General’s Office and State Police raided a property and rescued six individuals from a virtual kidnapping.

SINALOA:
-In Concordia, members of the Mexican Army arrested five suspects and seized seven rifles, magazines, and rounds of ammunition.

-In Culiacán, members of the National Guard, Mexican Army, and State Police, in a search of eight modules of the Aguaruto Penitentiary, seized three handguns, a rifle, 48 knives, a laptop, 47 cell phones, seven USB drives, two mobile broadband devices, and five internet modems.

-In Mazatlán, personnel from the Semar, SSPC, and the National Institute of Migration (INM) arrested a US citizen with irregular immigration status who is linked to crimes against health and arms trafficking.

SONORA:
-In Hermosillo, personnel from the Semar and the State Police arrested a suspect and seized 238 packages of methamphetamine, 38 packages of cocaine, 193 packages of marijuana, and a motorcycle.

-In Hermosillo, members of the Mexican Army and personnel from the State Prosecutor’s Office arrested two suspects and seized three handguns, magazines, and rounds of ammunition.

TAMAULIPAS:
-In Guerrero, members of the Mexican Army located a facility for the manufacturing and repair of vehicles with handcrafted armor, seizing six vehicles, one of them with factory and handcrafted armor, as well as four with handcrafted armor and one with a platform for transporting vehicles, a trailer used as a mobile welding workshop, four industrial oxygen tanks, and a welding plant.

ZACATECAS:
-In Ojocaliente, members of the State Police seized two vehicles reported stolen.

-In Tepetongo and Jerez, members of the National Guard and Mexican Army, while conducting surveillance patrols, located five encampments and a shooting range used by members of organized crime and seized a rifle, five magazines, 116 rounds of ammunition, a tactical vest, two ballistic plates, 10 tactical uniforms, and 54 tire spikes.

WORKING TO COMBAT DRUG PRODUCTION AND TRAFFICKING
In Chihuahua, Sinaloa, and Durango, members of the Mexican Army destroyed seven poppy fields covering one hectare and 11 marijuana fields.

STRATEGY TO COMBAT FUEL THEFT
As part of the Strategy to Combat Fuel Theft in the country, members of the Mexican Army located three clandestine taps, two in Hidalgo and one in Querétaro.
