• A total of 38,872 homes have been registered in the Ministry of Wellbeing census.
• The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) reported that electric power has been restored in 95.4% of cases in the affected states.

President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo reported that about 52,000 public servants continue aiding the population affected by last week’s atypically heavy rainfall in Veracruz, Puebla, Hidalgo, San Luis Potosí, and Querétaro. The affected communities are not alone.
“The heroism with which they attend to the population is extraordinary—from soldiers, marines, members of the National Guard, electrical workers, construction workers, doctors, and public servants. This has been truly extraordinary, they have worked with great dedication and strong conviction in public service, and love for the people, because at the core, that’s what moves us,” the President reiterated during the morning press conference known as “The People’s Mañanera.”
The head of the Ministry of Wellbeing Ariadna Montiel Reyes reported that as of October 16, some 38,872 homes been registered by the census in 72 municipalities. Emilia Esther Calleja Alor, Director General of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), reported that electric power has been restored in 95.4% of cases in the states affected by the rain and flooding. She indicated that in Queretaro it is at 100%.
Minister of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina announced that from Monday, October 14 to Friday, October 17, roads were opened to connect 161 of the 288 isolated communities, with work still in progress in 127 communities.
General Ricardo Trevilla Trejo, Minister of National Defense, reported that 8,389 personnel continue implementing Plan DN-lll-E, assisting with evacuations, and delivery of food supplies, water, and hot meals. Admiral Raymundo Pedro Morales Ángeles, Minister of the Navy, noted that Plan Marina has 4,519 personnel on site in Veracruz, Puebla, Hidalgo, and San Luis Potosí.
