Since the operation began on February 5, some 10,232 suspects have been arrested and 7,508 firearms, 1,265,939 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 34,062 magazines, 115,869.8 kg of drugs, including 601.8 kg of fentanyl, 6,029 vehicles, and 1,203 properties have been seized, according to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
These actions were carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:
– Coahuila
In Ciudad Acuña, five suspects were arrested, and seven firearms, eight magazines, 105 rounds of ammunition, and a vehicle with a trailer were seized.
– Sinaloa
In Escuinapa, three suspects were arrested, two of them minors, and three rifles, 12 magazines, 336 rounds of ammunition, and three tactical vests were seized.
In Culiacán, three storage facilities containing various inputs used in the production of synthetic drugs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 1,760 liters of substances for the production of methamphetamine were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 34 million pesos (US$1.89 million).
– Sonora
In Hermosillo, four suspects were arrested, and doses of methamphetamine and a motorcycle were seized.
