The Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico reports on the results obtained from “Operation Northern Border” on April 21, 2025, acoording to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.

Since the beginning of the operation on February 5, some 2,608 suspects have been arrested and 2,286 firearms, 367,279 rounds of different types of ammunition, 11,469 magazines, 27,259.86 kg of drugs, including 163.35 kg of fentanyl, 2,103 vehicles, and 317 properties have been seized.

These actions were carried out in strict compliance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were among the most significant:

– Chihuahua

In Ciudad Juarez, a suspect was arrested and three firearms, a magazine, and three rounds of ammunition were seized.

In Guachohi, five suspects were arrested and nine firearms, 16 magazines, 480 rounds of ammunition, six tactical vests, nine ballistic plates, and a vehicle were seized.

– Nuevo León

In Santa Catarina, three suspects were arrested and four rifles, four magazines, 202 rounds of ammunition, 19 doses of cocaine, and 42 doses of methamphetamine were seized.

– Sinaloa

In Rosario, three rifles, 21 magazines, 570 rounds of ammunition, four grenades, three tactical vests, six ballistic plates, a Barrett rifle, and a vehicle with homemade armor were seized.

Five storage facilities for methamphetamine inputs were located and dismantled, and 5,450 liters and 3,125 kilos of substances for the production of drugs were seized. The economic impact on the criminal organizations is 185 million pesos (US$9.38 million)

– Sonora

In Bácum, six magazines, a rifle, 151 rounds of ammunition and a vehicle were seized.

In Hermosillo, four suspects were arrested and four firearms, four magazines, 59 rounds of ammunition, 200 doses of marijuana, and three vehicles were seized.
