The Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico reports on the results obtained from 'Operation Northern Border' on May 1, 2025.

Since the beginning of the operation on February 5, some 2,922 suspects have been arrested and 2,495 firearms, 398,696 rounds of various types of ammunition, 12,321 magazines, 30,318.56 kg of drugs, including 163.35 kg of fentanyl, 2,344 vehicles, and 375 properties have been seized, acoording to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.

These actions were carried out in strict compliance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:

– Baja California

In Ensenada, 11 video cameras irregularly installed in public spaces were located and removed.

Five suspects were arrested and 58 rounds of ammunition, a handgun, a magazine, 118 doses of marijuana, 28 doses of methamphetamine, two vehicles, and two properties were seized.

– Coahuila

In Acuña, six suspects were arrested and 52 kilos of cocaine and a property were seized.

In Monclova, two suspects were arrested and 40 kilos of cocaine and a vehicle were seized.

– Nuevo Leon

In Anahuac, two suspects were arrested, one of them a foreign national, and eight rifles, 23 magazines, 327 rounds of ammunition, 10 ballistic vests, two Kevlar helmets, five webbing sets, 60 tire spikes, and four vehicles were seized.

– Sinaloa

In Culiacán, three storage facilities for methamphetamine inputs were located and dismantled, and 2,250 liters of chemical substances for the production of the drug and a lab condenser were seized. The economic impact on the criminal organizations is 48 million pesos (US$2.5 million).

In Los Ayales, seven vehicles were seized, three of them reported stolen and one armored, along with seven rifles, a machine gun, a handgun, 105 different magazines of different calibers, 3,152 rounds of various types of ammunition, 35 items of tactical gear, 20 tire spikes, 10 walkie-talkies with six power chargers.

– Sonora

Three suspects were arrested and 115 rounds of ammunition, a handgun, a magazine, 271 doses of methamphetamine, 255 doses of marijuana, nine doses of cocaine, two properties and a tactical vest were seized.

In Puerto Peñasco, eight video cameras irregularly installed in public spaces were located and removed.
