The Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico reports on the results obtained from 'Operation Northern Border' on May 22, 2025.

Since the beginning of the operation on February 5, some 3,597 suspects have been arrested and 3,003 firearms, 502,343 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 14,584 magazines, 32,285.44 kg of drugs, including 209.8 kg of fentanyl, 2,733 vehicles, and 447 properties have been seized, acoording to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.

These actions were carried out in strict compliance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:

– Baja California

In San Felipe, four video surveillance cameras and two relays irregularly installed in public spaces were seized and removed.

– Sinaloa

In Culiacán, four video surveillance cameras and two relays irregularly installed in public spaces were seized and removed.

– Sonora

In San Luis Río Colorado, six rounds of ammunition, a handgun, a magazine, twenty doses of cocaine, and cash were seized.

In Guaymas, 6.6 grams of methamphetamine and a property were seized.
