Isaac del Toro entered the elite of world cycling, as he appears in the ranking of the International Cycling Union (UCI) as the third best worldwide, only behind Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard.
Del Toro’s season has been impressive with 15 victories, two top eight finishes at the World Championships and second place at the Giro D’Italia. The 21-year-old Mexican is already among the world’s elite in the field and his career is just beginning.
The UCI World Ranking is a points system used since 2016 by the UCI to rank cyclists.
It considers the results obtained in all calendar events (UCI WorldTour, UCI Continental Tours, Road Cycling World Championships, Olympic Games, National and Continental Championships) over the previous 52 weeks, which are updated.
With this year’s results, Isaac del Toro, member of UAE Team Emirates, has become one of the young promising stars of international cycling.
