The Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) led a tourism caravan in Texas as part of Mexico's tourism promotion efforts in the United States.

From October 20 to 23, the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) led a tourism caravan in Houston and Dallas, Texas, as part of Mexico's tourism promotion efforts in the United States, with the goal of strengthening the presence of national destinations and generating new opportunities for commercial partnerships.
The Mexican delegation was led by the Director General of Tourism Product Innovation, Marcela Camacho Lozano, accompanied by the Ministry of Tourism of Guerrero, business leaders and associations from Oaxaca, and representatives of Nayarit, the Tren Maya, Grupo Mundo Maya and the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA).
During the working sessions, destination presentations were held and meetings took place with a total of 84 tour operators. These meetings allow more professionals in the sector to learn about Mexico's tourism offering and promote it among their clients, helping to attract more visitors to national destinations and generate economic benefits for communities.
During her participation, Camacho Lozano highlighted the country's tourism richness and invited the tour operators to promote its destinations, culinary experiences, culture and history, as well as to take part in upcoming industry gatherings, including the Encuentro de Pueblos Mágicos and the Tianguis Turístico de México.
In Dallas, as part of the agenda, a meeting was held with an emphasis on screen tourism, at which the offering of Mexican destinations was presented and opportunities for collaboration to attract audiovisual productions to Mexico were explored with representatives of Dallas Film Commission, CINEVOZ and film production companies.
For its part, the Mexican Institute of Cinematography (IMCINE) participated remotely to explain the incentives available for film production in the country.
The delegation also held a meeting with representatives of American Airlines at its offices in Fort Worth, Texas, to strengthen ties with the airline sector and explore opportunities for collaboration in promoting Mexican destinations, leveraging the connectivity between Mexico and the United States.
The agenda concluded with a medical tourism meeting at the Consulate General of Mexico in Dallas, with the purpose of exploring possibilities for partnerships in this segment and expanding opportunities to diversify the national tourism offering.
