New Air Routes Between Mexico and the U.S. Will Strengthen International Tourism
The head of the Ministry of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, welcomed the announcement of three new air routes between Mexico City and the United States, aimed at expanding travel options between the two countries and strengthening tourism activity.

Starting in January 2027, Aeroméxico and Delta Air Lines will add three daily routes from Mexico City International Airport to Orange County, California; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Portland, Oregon.
These new routes will broaden opportunities for U.S. visitors to discover Mexico's cultural, culinary and natural wealth, announced Rodríguez Zamora, who noted that "strengthening ties with the United States, our main source market for international tourists, allows us to bring more visitors closer to our country and create opportunities for those who find in tourism a source of well-being and shared prosperity."
The Mexico City–Orange County route will begin operations on January 11, 2027, with departure at 09:15 and arrival at 11:30. In the reverse direction, the flight will depart at 13:00 and arrive in the Mexican capital at 19:00.
The connection with Fort Lauderdale will begin on January 14, with departure from Mexico City at 09:35 and arrival at 14:05. The return flight will depart at 15:35 and arrive in Mexico City at 18:20.
Flights between Mexico City and Portland, meanwhile, will begin on January 21 from Mexico, with departure at 16:15 and arrival at 20:00. From Portland, operations will begin on January 22, with departure at 09:30 and arrival in the Mexican capital at 17:00.
