As part of Plan Mexico, Mabe announces investment of $668 million for 2025-2027

Press Release
- We are very grateful to Mabe for its presence and the investment it is making in our country,” Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said.
- “Not only will it strengthen our innovation, design, and development capabilities, but it will also undoubtedly boost the economy,” Mabe’s General Director of Corporate Affairs, Pablo Moreno Cadena, explained.
The Government of Mexico, through the Ministry of Economy, announced an investment of US$668 million by Mabe from 2025-2027 as part of the Plan Mexico investment portfolio. The announcement was made during the morning press conference, headed by President Claudia Sheinbaum.
The President thanked Mabe for this important investment in the country.
“We are very grateful to Mabe for its presence and the investment it is making in our country,” she said.
Minister of Economy Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon pointed out that Mabe’s investment is part of Plan Mexico’s portfolio of domestic and foreign investments.
“(Mabe) is a Mexican company founded in 1946. It has moved ahead of the competition with several Asian companies. And it is one of the main exporters of household appliances to the United States,” he said.
Mabe’s General Director of Corporate Affairs, Pablo Moreno Cadena, said that the investment of US$668 million in 2025-2027 is in addition to a total investment of almost US$1.15 billion that the company has made since 2023 for infrastructure and technological development.
“It is a very special day for us because we are once again reaffirming our commitment to Mexico, its people, and its future,” he said.
Moreno Cadena stressed that Mabe is a company that has been in Mexico for 80 years, and has been key in the country’s industrial development. He explained that this investment strengthens Mabe’s innovation and design, but also boosts the economy by generating opportunities and consolidating domestic supply.
“This investment will not only strengthen our innovation, design, and development capabilities, but will also undoubtedly boost the economy by generating opportunities and consolidating domestic supply, which is one of the important areas we are underpinning,” he added.
He pointed out that Mabe will continue to invest and innovate in Mexico.
“Our objective is very clear: to maintain Mexico as a global reference point in the production of household appliances and for this reason we are investing in technology, in sustainable processes, in the talent of our people. This is very important to us, because we unquestionably believe in Mexico’s potential and in the quality of what is produced here. We are convinced that Mabe’s growth is Mexico’s growth and we will continue to invest in and innovate with our country,” Moreno Cadena added.
