The Mexican Government's Security Cabinet reports on the results obtained from 'Operation Northern Border' on June 2, 2025.

Since the operation began on February 5, some 3,982 suspects have been arrested and 3,324 firearms, 549,397 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 16,026 magazines, 36,591 38 kg of drugs, including 223.48 kg of fentanyl, 3,065 vehicles, and 496 properties have been seized,  acoording to the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.

The actions have been carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:

– Baja California

In Mexicali, five rifles, three handguns, 16 magazines, 40 rounds of ammunition, 280 doses of methamphetamine, 1.6 kilograms of marijuana, 10 tactical vests, a vehicle, and a property were seized.

In another operation, five suspects were arrested and 10 doses of methamphetamine, two doses of marijuana, a vehicle, and a tractor-trailer were seized.

– Nuevo León

In Cadereyta, 89 semi-trucks, four tractor-trailer tankers, 54 tank trucks, 10 trailers, a cargo crane, two storage tanks, two hydrocarbon processing plants, 309,000 liters of hydrocarbons, and 16 vehicles were seized.

– Sinaloa

In Culiacán, three storage facilities for different methamphetamine inputs were located and dismantled. During the operations, 1,100 liters of substances used in the manufacture of the drug were seized. The economic impact on criminal organizations is estimated at 23 million pesos (US$1.7 million)

In Rosario, a rifle, 300 rounds of ammunition, three magazines, and a vehicle painted with a desert-style pixelated pattern with homemade armor were seized.

– Sonora

In Caborca, two suspects were arrested in a vehicle, and a handgun, a magazine, 17 rounds of ammunition, 100 doses of marijuana, and 31 doses of cocaine were seized.

In another operation, a handgun, 15 rounds of ammunition, a magazine, 603 doses of cocaine, 467 doses of marijuana, 341 doses of methamphetamine, and a vehicle were seized.
